Plasterboards
Metal Framings are an integral part of the drywall or
ceiling system and serve as a
backbone for them.
A drywall or false ceiling system has a strong spine of GI metal framework with plasterboard as its face.
The metal framework gives the system its strength, long life and enhanced performance.
Any compromise on the quality of the metal components can lead to
permanent system failure.
What is the role of metal framing in drywall or partition?
Metal framing are integral part of drywalls or partition & serves as a backbone for the drywalls & partition. They are responsible for taking the load of the system on them and a good quality metal framing will ensure that the drywalls and partitions are long lasting.
Are metal frames fire resistant?
Gypmax Metal frames are made from Galvanized Iron (G.I.) which cannot burn. The drywalls can be designed for fire resistance upto 4 hrs and metal framings play an important and pivotal role in the same. Use of wood/timber or Aluminum metal frames cant give fire rated drywalls as wood/timber burns and alumiunum melts very easily as compared to GI.
What’s special about Gyproc Metal?

Can you hang kitchen cabinets, TV etc on drywalls?
Yes you can load kitchen cabinets, TV, AC units and other domestic stuff on metal frames of the drywalls. Just ensure that the fixings which you are using to put them on drywalls are penetrated in the metal frames (studs).
What is better GI studs or Aluminium studs?
GI studs provide better sound insulation, better fire protection and long lasting drywalls as compared to Aluminium framing. There are other advantages like better cost, better & faster workability associated with GI studs as well. In all, GI studs are much better than using aluminum based studs for partitions / drywalls.
